Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Visits Hobart

The Greek Community of Tasmania was honoured to welcome the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Mr. Γιάννης Λοβέρδος, to Hobart during his recent visit to Australia.

Hosted at the historic Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, the visit brought together members of the local Greek community, parish representatives and community leaders for a day of connection, reflection and celebration of Hellenic heritage in Tasmania.

Mr. Λοβέρδος met with community members to discuss the importance of preserving language, faith and cultural traditions across the diaspora. The gathering also highlighted the strong and enduring ties between Greece and Australia, and the valuable contributions of Greek Tasmanians to the cultural fabric of the state.

Following the church service, guests shared a meal and conversation, marking a warm and memorable occasion for all in attendance.
